Results: Week 1

As Jenny mentioned, last night was our first weigh in to see how we’re doing with Weight Watchers. I’m right with her on the whole felling like it kind of zipped right by us thing. Maybe it’s because we’ve kept some of the same habits from when we first tried Weight Watchers six years ago, or maybe because we’ve enjoyed eating at home instead of trying to decide on a place to eat out for every meal. Whatever it was, it went by really quick and we’re already getting into the groove really well.

As you can tell from Jenny’s 6.4 lb loss, we’re off to a really good start.

This first week was a bit shaky for me as far as following the plan goes. The first couple of days it was really hard to eat all of my Points because we were eating the low point foods and really watching ourselves to make sure that we didn’t over eat. What ended up happing though was that I would end the night with 12 Points left over and just eating whatever we had to get the Points used up because you won’t loose any weight if you don’t give your body what it needs.

Like Jenny said, the first week is almost always a good week for everybody. The only exception is when you haven’t eaten all of your Points worth of food, or when you’ve eaten more than your Points allowance. When you follow the Weight Watchers plan with someone else that’s very different from you in their total points it’s easy to eat the same foods and have the low Points person use all of theirs while the high Points person ends up with excess at the end of the day, which is bad for the higher person. Always eat all of your Points.

Luckily, I was only under-eating on the first couple of days while I got situated again, and then it was all smooth sailing from there.

So, the results are in, and after one week: *queue drum roll* -11.6 lbs

That’s the a record loss for me for a week’s time, even better than anything we did in our first attempt several years ago. I feel quite good about that loss, and I look forward to you seeing less and less of me in the weeks to come.

    I love that our loss ends up totaling exaclty 18 pounds. Feels great to know that we lost so much together! ❤

    Good for you…you are right about eating all your points..you are more likely to quit if you don’t
