Weigh-In Results 9-22-11

Last night turned out to be a very good night for both of us.

Jenny: -3.6
Jason: -5.6

That brings my total weight loss to 47 pounds, and Jenny’s to 60.2.

Yeah, she’s still totally kicking my (now smaller) butt.

That also means that our combined weightloss is: 107.2 lbs!

And that right there is worthy of an achievement!

This week marked something a little extra special for me too. For the first time in about seven years, I’m finally back under 300 pounds.

Weight Watchers is currently running a program they call Lose For Good™ (LFG), where they’re teaming up with meetings members, online subscribers and charitable partners to help fight hunger. Over the last three years, LFG has donated more than $3 million. For every pound that members lose during the LFG campaign, $1 is being donated to one of two organizations (Action Hunger and No Kid Hungry) to fight hunger in America and around the world.

To further strengthen the Lose For Good campaign, we’re also going to donate food to a local organisation to do the same for our community. We’ve lost 107 pounds this year, so we’re going to donate 107 pounds worth of food. We’ve had far too much success to keep this one to ourselves. It’s time we gave back.

I am so proud of you guys! Getting under the 300 pound mark is HUGE, man. And Jenny–no wonder your friend didn’t recognize you that day! 60 pounds is awesome! 😀

Wahoo! What a wonderful thing to do. I love the idea of giving the weight you’ve lost in lbs. of food to those in need. Amazing people.
